Nation’s Future Party
Dozens of activities and events carried out by the party during the last days of both June and July, of which mot were in the field of service and health. Party activities and events included:
- Slaughter and distribution of meat, food convoys, medical convoys, and distribution of dry food commodities at the end of June.
- On July 5, the Training and Education Secretariat of the Party organized a free workshop to teach English.
- On July 16, the Municipality of El-Zarqa, Damietta organized a symposium entitled “The New Republic and the President’s Achievements.”
- On July 19, the Industry and Trade Municipality in Beni Suef organized a training course in the field of artificial intelligence, at the Faculty of Computer and Information, Beni Suef University.
- On July 23, Muhammad Abdullah Zain al-Din (a member of the House of Representatives and Party Municipal in Beheira), warned of the dangers of the impact of frequent power outages on the industry, stressing the Ministry of Trade and Industry to intervene and coordinate with the Ministry of Electricity to find a mechanism to reduce the repercussions of this crisis.

Al-Dostour party
The party focused on the political and regional issues, including the Palestinian issue and the crisis of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
- On June 26, the Party held a press conference at its headquarters to inaugurate the “Free Patriotic Movement” party.
- On June 30, the Party condemned an extremist’s burning of a copy of Qur’an in front of a mosque in Stockholm, Sweden, considering it a dangerous provocation against Muslims feelings.
- On July 6, the Party issued a statement condemning the crimes of the Israeli occupation in Jenin.
- On July 6, the Party issued statement regarding the fourth filling of the Renaissance Dam, expressing its deep concern about this unilateral act on the part of Ethiopia.
- On July 12, the Party participated in the symposium “Resistance is a right in confronting the occupation gangs.” about the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli entity.

Bread and Freedom Party (under establishment)
The party’s activities varied between the political, human rights and cultural aspects.
- On June 24, the party issued a statement of solidarity with the workers of the Kiriazi Home Appliances Manufacturing Company.
- On June 26, the party called on the Presidential Pardon Committee and the sponsor of the national dialogue to work on implementing pledges to undertake the complete termination of the prisoners of conscience file.
- On July 3, the party issued a statement condemning the attacks launched by the Zionist army on Jenin camp, which caused dozens of deaths and injuries.
- On July 6, the party participated in the solidarity conference held by the civil movement under the title “Here We Are Jenin”. The party declared its full solidarity with the Palestinian people against the crimes of the occupation.
- On July 8, the Party celebrated the International Nubia Day.
- On July 12, the party issued a statement about the upcoming presidential elections” “The presidential elections: an opportunity to recover and get out of a crisis, or a new station for deterioration and dissipation of hope.”
- On July 19, the party issued a statement announcing the suspension of its participation in the national dialogue, after a three-year prison sentence against researcher Patrick George.
- Egyptian Social Democratic Party
The parliamentary side was one of the most prominent activities of the party during the month, and among these activities:
- On June 28, the Cairo Municipality of the party held a meeting entitled “Inequality and the Dream of Justice, a Reading of Thomas Piketty’s Capital in the Twenty-First Century,” in the presence of economist and journalist Wael Gamal.
- On July 4, the party condemned the war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation government against the defenseless Palestinian people and the storming of Jenin.
- On July 4, MP Samira El-Gazzar submitted a parliamentary question about the ministry’s plan to clean and beautify the streets of Cairo.
- On July 5, Eng. Ehab Mansour (Head of the parliamentary body of the Party and deputy of the Manpower Committee in the House of Representatives) submitted a parliamentary question. The question was addressed to each of: the Minister of Local Development and the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, regarding Law No. 17 of 2019 and its amendments by Law No. 1 of 2020 and the executive regulations regarding reconciliation in some building violations and legalizing their status. .
- On July 6, Eng. Ehab Mansour submitted a briefing request addressed to the Prime Minister, the Minister of Social Solidarity, and the Minister of Health and Population, regarding the delay in receiving a solidarity and dignity card for several years.
- On July 9, MP Samira Al-Gazzar requested a briefing on confronting the phenomenon of the disappearance of medication and their high prices.
- On July 10, Eng. Ehab Mansour submitted a question to each of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister of Public Business Sector regarding the delay in the payment of dues to employees of the Iron and Steel Company.
- On July 14, MP Samira Al-Gazzar submitted a parliamentary question regarding the delay in preparing the draft personal status law.
- On July 18, the party celebrated the International Day of Nelson Mandela, who fought against the apartheid regime and then became president of South Africa.
- On July 23, the party issued a statement about the presidential elections, questioning whether there was an insistence that the elections be run as before; this simply means that the authority has decided to exclude the real and living political forces from participating, as happened before. We do not hope it will happen again.”
- Conservative Party
During this period, the party contributed to the establishment of the “Free Patriotic Movement” party, and hosting the democratic civil movement.
- On the cultural side, the party celebrated the International Nubia Day
- On June 25, a member of the Political Bureau of the Party stated that the establishment of a strong liberal current was an important step towards positive change and the promotion of freedom and democracy in society.
- On June 28, the party congratulated Egyptians on Eid Al-Adha
- On July 3, the party issued a statement condemning the war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation government against the Palestinian people.
- On July 7, the Political Liaison Municipality of the Party extended its warmest congratulations to the Egyptian Nubians on the occasion of the International Nubia Day
- On July 18, the “Ahmed Lotfi Al-Sayyed” salon in the party held a symposium entitled “The Public Sphere between the Values of Freedom and Justice.”
- On July 22, the Party issued a statement praising the statement of the Judges Club announcing its rejection of the decision by the Council of Ministers to subject those appointed to the prosecutions and judicial bodies to training courses at the Military College, as the party considered it an unacceptable interference by the executive authority in the judicial authority.
- On July 23, the party issued a statement condemning the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran in Sweden, stressing that there was a big difference between human freedom and racism.
- Dignity Party
Political education and the Palestinian cause were the most important issues for the party:
- On July 19, the party issued a statement condemning the Arab silence in the face of the Zionist massacres.
- On July 5, the Party received Mr. Gamil Muzher, Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and Mr. Ahmed Khreis, a member of the Central Committee of the Front.
- On July 22, the Party issued a statement condemning the Swedish government’s insistence on allowing the desecration of the Qur’an
- On July 22, the Party issued a statement on the anniversary of the July 23 Revolution; “the July Revolution is the origin for the largest renaissance project, and it has been subject to continuous distortion from counter projects, when policies were biased towards citizens, Egypt witnessed the largest social transformation process in its modern history.”
- Socialist People’s Alliance Party
During this month, the party focused on social issues of interest to the Egyptian street, such as what was reported about “the idea of establishing a fund affiliated to the Suez Canal Authority” and the challenges facing the development of the education system in Egypt, in addition to participation in the presidential elections.
- On June 23, the party issued a statement expressing its categorical rejection of every form of privatization of the Suez Canal.
- The party also received the potential presidential candidate, Ahmed Tantawi, and discussed the political, economic and social conditions, his electoral program and his future vision.
- On July 6, the party issued Pamphlet No. (11) Of the coalition’s pamphlets, entitled “Education between the Hammer of Commodification and the Anvil of Domination.”
- On July 6, the party issued a statement condemning the Israeli aggression on Jenin.
- On July 24, the party held an online comprehensive dialogue with Mr. Medhat Al-Zahed (head of the Socialist Popular Alliance Party). The meeting addressed the most important issues: the party’s situation after the third general conference and the election of the new leadership, the position on the upcoming presidential elections, and the party’s position on continuing the civil movement, pros and cons of not participating in the national dialogue.

Egyptian Journalists Syndicate
- On June 26, the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to release the journalist Mohamed Mostafa Musa, with a guarantee of his place of residence, pending case 1977 of 2022, Supreme State Security.
- The Syndicate signed a protocol with the director of the Syndicate of River Veterinarians Club in Giza, to enjoy recreational activities with 50% discounts for journalists.
- On July 4, the Syndicate condemned the massacre of the Zionist occupation in Jenin against defenseless Palestinian citizens.
- On July 6, Cairo Terrorism Criminal Court, held in Badr Prison, decided to renew the detention of journalist Tawfiq Ghanem for 45 days, pending Case No. 238 of 2021 State Security, although he exceeded the maximum period in pretrial detention.
- On July 9, Cairo Criminal Court of Terrorism, held in Badr Prison, decided to renew the detention of journalist Ahmed Hamdi Abu Zaid for 45 days as a pretrial detention pending Case No. 1530 of 2019 State Security, and the detention of journalist Abdullah Shusha was renewed for 45 days in Case No. 800 of 2019 State Security.
- On July 11, the Syndicate supported the strike of the BBC office workers in Cairo, in protest of the administration lack of interest in their demands for wage increases and their exchange in Egyptian pounds, unlike their counterparts in Beirut and Istanbul.
- On July 20, the head of the Syndicate addressed all press institutions and newspapers to raise the minimum wage to L.E.3, 000 from the beginning of this July.
- On July 22, Chamber of Cairo Terrorism Crimes Chamber-III, held in Badr Courts Complex, decided to postpone the trial of journalist Badr Badr Muhammad and 56 defendants in the case known in the media as the “Al-Shorouk Cell” to the next September 24 hearing for the previous decision and to complete hearing the statements of witnesses.
- Egyptian lawyers Syndicate
- On June 26, lawyer Ali Abbas Barakat was transferred to Badr Prison Hospital suffering from a hepatic coma after more than 6 years of imprisonment in various cases, which ended with acquittal and the release of, and while he was in pretrial detention pending case No. 670 of 2022 State Security to which he was recycled. He died as a result of medical negligence. .
- On July 4, based on the directives of the head of the Syndicate, the finishing works began for the South Sinai Lawyers Club, in preparation for its furnishing and opening for the service and comfort of the lawyers.
- The head of Syndicate together with the head of the Arab Lawyers Union also condemned the Zionist attacks on Jenin in the occupied West Bank, which left martyrs and injured among the Palestinian people.
- On July 6, Cairo Terrorism Criminal Court, held in Badr Prison Complex, decided to renew the detention of lawyer Ahmed Natheer Al-Helou for 45 days pending case 1940 of 2022, State Security.
- The Syndicate also announced the formation of a committee to defend three Menia lawyers accused of attempted murder and incitement. The July 12 session was postponed to the second day of the next August session to hear the defense witnesses, and release them.
- On July 17, the Syndicate announced the opening of the Gleem Club in Alexandria, after the completion of the development process.
- On July 16, Cairo Terrorism Criminal Court, held in Badr Prison Complex decided to renew the detention of human rights lawyer Ibrahim Metwally for 45 days in custody pending Case No. 786 of 2022 State Security State Security. This is his sixth consecutive year. Same court also decided to renew the detention of lawyer Abdullah Muhammad Al-Sayed Shalaby for 45 days pending the case. 2065 of 2021 State Security.
- On July 19, the President of the Republic issued a decree pardoning some of the defendants in various cases, including the human rights lawyer, Muhammad Al-Baqer, in Case 1228 of 2021, misdemeanor of the Emergency State Security, Fifth Settlement.

Egyptian Medical Syndicate (EMS)
- On June 26, the Qena Misdemeanor Court sentenced three defendants accused of assaulting a doctor to 3 years in prison in Case No. 4981 of 2023, Qena Department of Misdemeanor.
- On July 29, the Council of the Medical Syndicates Union decided to increase the pensions of the members of the (Physician doctors – pharmacists – dentists – veterinarians), starting from August 2023.
- On July 6, Minister of Health and Population Decision No. 270 of 2023 was published regarding the employer to bear the expenses of postgraduate studies for members of the medical profession.
- On July 10, the Sheikh Zayed Prosecution decided to renew the detention of Doctor Ahmed Muhammad Al-Tabbakh for 15 days pending Case No. 1266 of 2023 Sheikh Zayed-II.
- On July 23, the syndicate honored Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, gifting him both the title and shield of the ideal doctor for his scientific research and published medical literature.

The Pharmacists Syndicate
On July 4, the military spokesman announced that the officer responsible for the killing of pharmacist Basma Ali Hussein had been referred to the Military Criminal Court on charges of premeditated murder in Case No. 170 of 2023, military felonies east of Cairo.

Media Syndicate
- On July 26, the Administrative Court adjourned the lawsuit filed against both Media and Journalists Syndicates by refraining from implementing the negative decision to write off Ibrahim Eissa and stop his TV program on Al-Qahera wa Al-Nas.
- On July 9, Cairo Terrorism Criminal Court, held in Badr Prison Complex, decided to renew the detention of journalist Hala Fahmy and journalist Donia Samir Fathi for 45 days pending Case No. 441 of 2022 State Security. Hala Fahmy continued her hunger strike for the tenth day on July 23, due to her inmates beating her in Tenth of Ramadan Prison.

Egyptian Engineers Syndicate EES
- On July 8, the head of EES held a meeting with some members to discuss several files, the first of which was the drafting of an urgent letter to the Attorney General to quickly end the investigations into the riots and bullying that took place in the extraordinary assembly that was held on May 30.
- On July 13, Nasr City Second Misdemeanor Court, Emergency State Security, decided to extend the sentence against Eng. Yahiya Hussein Abdel Hadi in Case No. 1206 of 2023, Nasr City Second Misdemeanor, to the September 21 session, with his release.
- On July 15, the head of EES submitted a letter to the Attorney General announcing the course of the investigation into incidents of rioting and bullying during the Extraordinary General Assembly on May 30.
- On July 22, EES in cooperation with the Egyptian-Japanese University, announced the opening of applications for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) for members of the General Assembly, at a discount of 50% for engineers.

Egyptian Teachers Syndicate
On July 24, some of the teachers applying for the 30,000 teachers’ competition published a urgent call for help after they were excluded from the competition for appointment through the Military College exams. The Minister of Education stated that their health conditions hindered their eligibility, which included (pregnancy – childbirth – overweight). The teachers stated that in case of no response to their call, they would file lawsuits.

Acting Professions Syndicate
- On June 26, the head of the Syndicate decided to refer the crew and production company of the film “First Year of Kidnapping” to investigation for violating the decision of the syndicate and forcing the actors to work 24 hours a day. It also decided to prevent dealing with the film producing company again.
- On July 8, the Syndicate denounced, in a statement, what came from a dialogue that took place in the series “Why not” about the Faculty of Arts, the Department of Theater Sciences, and that acting is hard at the Academy of Arts. The Syndicate demanded that the production company delete that scene.
- On July 9, art critic Tariq El-Shennawi attacked the syndicate statement because of the scene, on the pretext that it criticized the teaching of acting at the Faculty of Arts in the series “Why not?” He said that the statement posed a threat to the acting profession because it judged imagination with the law of reality, and a number of artists objected to that statement and requested to delete the scene.

Physical Therapists Syndicate
- On July 4, Cairo Court of Appeal decided to accept Appeal No. 900 of the year ???, submitted by Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Ahmed against the decision of the Syndicate to refer him for discipline and drop his membership. In the matter, the appealed decision was canceled after he published allegations on social media against the Syndicate.
- On July 7, the Syndicate launched a document on etiquette and ethics for dealing with children with disabilities while undergoing rehabilitation physiotherapy services in public and private health facilities, which aimed to protect the rights of children with disabilities and their families during their treatment and rehabilitation journey.

Musical Professions Syndicate
- On June 26, Mostafa Kamel won seat of the head of the syndicate by acclamation for the second time in a row.
- On July 16, the syndicate official spokesman explained that the new elections on August 1st would witness the entry of the digital and electronic system, as it would facilitate the possibility of musicians to cast their votes electronically at the polling stations within the governorates.
- On July 14, the Syndicate denounced the disregard of the daughter of the artist and former head, Iman Al-Bahr Darwish, for the Syndicate contact with her to find out about his state and health, after publishing his picture while he was in a dire state confined to bed.
- On July 18, after pressure and angry campaigns on social media, the Syndicate decided to cancel the famous American rapper Travis Scott concert, scheduled on July 28th in front of the pyramids, claiming that he practices strange rituals in his songs, supports Freemasonry and that he is a Satanist.
- On July 25, the Administrative Court dismissed the lawsuit filed to stop the implementation of the Syndicate elections, which are scheduled for August

Syndicate of Fine Artists
On July 21, the General Secretary of the Syndicate warned against holding elections and calling the General Assembly by the sole decision of the Syndicate, and that any invitation without taking the correct measures becomes invalid.

Tourist Guides Syndicate
- On July 5, Syndicate addressed the Secretary-General of Chambers of Travel and Tourism Companies and Agencies that value-added tax may not be deducted from the guide’s wages, and that the law addressed other categories to apply that tax to beneficiary tourism companies and tourists.
- On July 13, the Syndicate announced a decline in the unemployment rate since 2011 by 10% among the counselors, whose number reached 9 thousand members.

General Union of Workers in the Engineering, Metallurgical and Electrical Industries
- On July 6, 500 workers at the Iron and Steel Factory in Helwan gathered in front of the HQ of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries, demanding the payment of their dues in the Fellowship Fund before the date of their retirement.

General Union of Agriculture and Irrigation Workers
- On July 1, the union demanded, in the national dialogue discussions, a reconsideration of insurance and pensions, the restoration of the 50% rate for workers and farmers in parliaments, and the expansion of social and health protection for informal workers.

- On July 4, the union announced the completion of the development and construction work for the “Ghazal 4” factory, Al-Mahalla Al-Kubra Castle of Industry for Spinning and Weaving, and the labor force was awaiting the opening of the factory after a waiting period of more than 4 years.

- On July 6, the union warned its members not to send any invitations to sit-in in front of either Ministry of Health HQ in the Administrative Capital or the Licensing Department in Downtown, and not to respond to any other calls and to follow legitimate legal methods.

- The National Council for Human Rights (NCHR)
- On July 1, 2023, NCHR published a statement marking the anniversary of June 30, “which it described as a revolution” and considered it a major historical turning point that offered lessons in upholding the national interest, coexistence and equality.
- On July 12, Mushira Khattab, Chairman of NCHR, received a delegation from the Belgian Student Association, Conference Olivant, as part of a week-long study visit to Egypt to learn about human rights conditions.
- Association for Freedom of Thought and Expression (AFTE)

- On June 27, AFTE published a legal paper it presented during the National Dialogue sessions, entitled Violations of Academic Freedom.
- On July 11, AFTE filed a lawsuit before the Administrative Court to challenge the negative decision of Acting Professions Syndicate to refuse to register one of AFTE’s clients in the Syndicate.
- Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR)

- On June 26, 2023, EIPR issued a statement following the referral of the Freedom of Information Law by the Supreme Council for Media Regulation to the House of Representatives, expressing its fear that the law would be issued in accordance with the security vision that tends to prevent, block, and impose penalties on freedom of opinion and expression.
- On July 5, EIPR published on its Facebook page an infographic of the numbers of death sentences issued during May 2023.
- On July 18, EIPR condemned the sentencing of Patrick George by the Mansoura Emergency State Security Court for Misdemeanors to 3 years in prison on charges of publishing false news and statements due to an article he published on the rights of Copts in Egypt.
- On July 19, EIPR submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor regarding the security forces in the Mansoura Misdemeanor Court that detained activist Patrick George inside the courtroom, in violation of the Emergency Law, and he was sentenced to three years in prison.
- Regional Center for Rights and Liberties
- During July, the center issued two research papers, the first on “A Reading in the Media Honor Charter… Media Professionals’ Covenant to the Public” and the second entitled “Guide to Joining the Media Syndicate”
- Egyptian Commission for Rights and Freedoms (ECRF)
- On June 26, 2023, ECRF issued a statement condemning the Egyptian authorities blocking of both Egypt 360 and Fourth Authority websites.
- On the same date, ECRF issued a report entitled “What is Unbearable: On Suicide in Detention in Egypt” in conjunction with the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.
- On July 18, ECRF issued a statement condemning the prison sentence against human rights activist Patrick George for publishing an article about Copts in Egypt.
- Manakh Initiative for Environmental Studies
- On July 13, 2023, Manakh published a research paper entitled “A Guide to Environmental Litigation in Egypt,” aiming to informing legal practitioners, individuals and associations concerned with environmental rights, and environmental rights defenders of the possibility of resorting to the judiciary to defend environmental rights.
- On July 14, Manakh published, on its official Facebook page, a video graph to show how logging affects the environment and climate changes.
- Egyptian Front for Human Rights (EFHR)
- On July 17, EFHR published a statement calling on the Egyptian authorities to release the deputy head of the Strong Egypt Party, “Ahmed Abdel Salam Hosseini Salem,” who is imprisoned pending case No. 352 of 2023.
- Al-Haq Association for Freedom of Opinion, Expression and Human Rights
- On July 3, Al-Haq announced the opening of submissions for the fifth edition of the Data School (School of Monitoring and Documentation of Legal Data) in cooperation with the Egyptian Lawyer Syndicate – Helwan Municipality, to prepare cadres and enhance expertise in the field of monitoring, documenting and analyzing legal data and enhancing writing legal reports skills.

- Egyptian Center for Economic and Social Rights (ECESR)
- On July 25, ECESR issued a statement calling for tightening measures to protect workers from the effects of heat stress and granting workers the rest periods stipulated in Resolution 211 of 2003, while updating the tables of permissible thermal exposure limits.
- El Shehab For Human Rights
- On July 15, Al-Shehab issued a statement calling on the Egyptian judicial authorities to stop holding detention renewal sessions via video conferencing technology and to return once again to examining the court sessions in the presence of the accused in person.
- Group Human Rights Activities
- On July 6, a number of women rights organizations, in conjunction with a number of political parties and some public figures, issued a joint statement on the media statement on the domestic violence session and the electronic risks to societal cohesion in the national dialogue.

- On July 5, Circuit-II of Terrorism in Cairo renewed the detention of human rights lawyer Mr. Khalaf for a period of 45 days in Case No. 238 of 2021 Supreme State Security.
- On July 6, the Mansoura Criminal Court renewed the detention of the activist in the April 6 movement, “Mohammed Adel,” for a period of 45 days, pending investigations of Case No. 4118 of 2018, Sherbin Administrative.
- On July 8, , Circuit-II of Terrorism in Cairo renewed the detention of the translator and activist Marwa Arafa, for a period of 45 days, pending investigations of Case No. 570 of 2020, Supreme State Security.

- On July 11, the Disciplinary Board of faculty members of the Higher Institute of Technology in the Tenth of Ramadan, decided to postpone the disciplinary session, to which the head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Institute, Manar Al-Tantawi, to the arbitrarily referral , to the session of July 25.
- On July 13, the Second Misdemeanor Court of Nasr City decided to extend the hearing of the verdict in the trial of Engineer Yahya Hussein Abdel-Hadi, on the grounds of his accusation of publishing false news, to the session of September 21, 2023.

- On July 5, researcher and human rights activist Patrick George obtained a master’s degree with distinction with honors, from the University of Bologna in Italy. Patrick attended the master’s thesis defense ceremony through video technology, in light of the decision to prevent him from traveling.
- On July 10, ECESR obtained a final ruling from Cairo Court of Appeals obliging the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, a police sergeant, and the secretary of the defendants accused of torturing and killing the martyr Khaled Saeed to pay compensation of 500,000 pounds to the family of the martyr Khaled Saeed.
