Legal Comment

The State Security Prosecution continues, in full swing, in expanding the application of the provisions of the Terrorism Law, with its provisions that violate the principles of criminalization and the Constitution. During the current week, the Supreme State Security Prosecution investigated 25 citizens on terrorism charges, depending on investigation reports from National Security officers.

After the investigation sessions ended, the prosecution decided to detain all of them for 15 days pending investigation.

The Egyptian security forces in Sharqia released 7 citizens, after completing their release procedures, without putting them through to the curse of rotation against many political prisoners, especially in Sharqia.

This shows a glimmer of hope towards prevailing reason and logic and applying the provisions of the law over the spirit of revenge against members of the National Security Agency before citizens..
