Legal Comment
The arrest of Dr. Nada Mogheeth, wife of prisoner of conscience Ashraf Omar, only a few hours after the Interior Ministry publishing a statement denying Dr. Nada’s video about the security forces seizing a sum of money during the arrest of her husband on last July while and not proving it as evidence in the arrest report, and presenting him to the State Security Prosecution without these sums. The prosecution investigated her in Case No. 7 of 2025 Supreme State Security, accusing her of participating in a terrorist group and spreading false news and statements. Which confirms the continued security services use of accusations related to terrorism and publishing as a means of depriving freedoms and pressuring individuals, trying to tighten the noose on Dr. Nada, for attempting to shed the light on the violations to her husband during his arrest.
