Legal Comment

The presidential pardon decision, which has limited the remaining sentences of criminal prisoners to those serving sentences, is disappointing.

The continued imprisonment of thousands of prisoners of conscience and political prisoners represents a blatant violation and a retaliatory measure against pro-democracy advocates and supporters of the January Revolution.

It also contradicts the claims of opening up the public sphere and promoting national dialogue.

  • The lack of news and events is due to the official Eid Al-Fitr holiday, which extended from March 29, 2025 to April 2, 2025.
