Legal Comment

The Administrative Court has decided to postpone the ruling on the appeal filed against the decision to privatize a number of public hospitals, a decision that causes great concern, especially in light of the direct consequences of this step, which affect the right of all citizens to healthcare, which is a fundamental constitutional right.

Therefore, postponing the hearing of this crucial case without a swift and decisive resolution will negatively impact the lives of citizens, especially the poorest and most vulnerable groups, as well as places an additional responsibility on the judiciary to uphold the right of citizens to health and dignity and confront any infringement on their basic services under the guise of development or investment.
