The Ministry of Interior denied in a statement on its official Facebook Page, the circulated news on <\/span>incidents of kidnapping girls in Qena and finding girls without organs in front of a hospital and the spread of female gangs to kidnap girls after drugging them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Legal Comment<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Economic expert Abdel Khaleq Farouk announced during the session to renew his pretrial detention in case No. 4937 of 2024, Supreme State Security<\/span>, <\/span>that he <\/span>would<\/span> go on a hunger strike starting from <\/span>9 <\/span>January.<\/span> That happened a<\/span>midst the <\/span>complete disregard of the <\/span>prosecution<\/span> for his complaints about the poor conditions of the prison he is being held in and the lack of health care, especially since he suffers from chronic diseases, in addition to his lack of exposure to the sun well, which threatens his health<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Farouk’s resort to the strike demonstrates the suffering of prisoners from the inhumane conditions in prisons and their deprivation of basic rights, which the Ministry of Interior always denies, without anyone being fooled by its lies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The detainees in pretrial detention on State Security cases inside the <\/span>10<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span> of Ramadan Prison<\/span>-VI<\/span>,<\/span> turned their <\/span>backs<\/span> to the court on <\/span>8 <\/span>January<\/span>. That was a move <\/span>represents a symbolic cry of protest against the use of prolonged pretrial detention as a punishment.<\/span> A <\/span>step <\/span>which <\/span>reflects the growing anger among detainees over their continued detention for long periods without a fair trial, as well as the absence of guarantees of fair justice.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/article>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
