The President of the Egyptian Court of Cassation issued Decision No. 13 of 2023 establishing a special register – called – the Registry of Conflict Conclusive Judgment Requests to address the multiplicity of directions of judicial circuits on the same subject presented to them, unify the issued rulings and not contradict each other.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2. The Official Gazette, in its issue No. 20 bis (a), published multiple decisions of the President of the Republic to appoint assistant delegates to the State Council, as of 1-1-2023.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3. The Official Gazette published, in its issue No. 20 bis, the Prime Minister\u2019s Decision 1892 of 2023 amending some provisions of the executive regulations of Law No. 103 of 1961 regarding the reorganization of Al-Azhar and the bodies it includes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Legal Comment<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Over the course of four days, the terrorism departments held in the Institute of Police Secretaries in the Tora prisons area considered orders to renew the detention of hundreds of citizens who were held in pretrial detention pending investigations conducted by the Supreme State Security Prosecution. Those brought before it and the continued suffering of prolonged pre-trial detention against them.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– The decision of the President of the Egyptian Court of Cassation, Counselor\/ Mohamed Eid Mahgoub, to create a special register under the name of Conflict of Conclusive Judgments, in order to address the multiplicity of directions of the judicial departments on the same subject presented to them, and to unify the rulings issued and not contradict each other, a positive step due to the existence of a number of rulings that contradict each other. Provided that the appeal adheres to the usual methods of filing civil appeals.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
