The two visits referred to are not counted among the visits scheduled for prisoners on the Prophet\u2019s Birthday and Armed Forces Day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i>Friday, 29 September<\/i><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The Engineer Kamel Shadeed Shaheen, imprisoned for 5 years, died inside his prison cell in the 10th of Ramadan Prison, without an announcement of the causes of death.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>10- Statements<\/p>\n<p><i>Monday, 25 September<\/i><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The National Elections Authority announced in a press conference, the timetable for the presidential elections and the conditions for receiving applications from potential candidates. Those are obtaining 25,000 power of attorney legal authorisation of support from 15 governorates or obtaining 20 support from members of the House of Representatives. That is all depending on the abroad elections are held on days December 1-2-3 2023 and inside the country on December 10, 11, 12, 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Legal Comment<\/p>\n<p>The decision from the Supreme State Security Prosecution to release 60 citizens held in pretrial detention in state security cases and facing terrorism charges has come as a step towards correcting the course of violations that have affected these citizens. Such violations included arrest for accusing them of crimes without evidence, or because of farcical calls, such as the arrest of the three children from Helwan for publishing an event entitled \u201cThe Real Batman,\u201d or those who published a comedy sketch on social media about a citizen visiting imprisoned lover, known as \u201cRose and Chocolate\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>All this raises an important question: When will the National Security Agency stop accusing citizens of terrorism in order to torture them? And when will the prosecution stop using pretrial detention to punish those who have not committed a real crime?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The decision to announce the National Elections Authority timetable for receiving applications from candidates for the presidential elections, as well as announcing the conditions required of those wishing to run for the position, have taken place amid security campaigns to arrest supporters of potential presidential candidate Ahmed Tantawi and refer them to the Supreme State Security Prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the harassing those who support Tantawi\u2019s candidacy in the registration offices, which amounts to harassment and infringement only on their desire to exercise their constitutional rights, and attempt to create a power of attorney for an opposition candidate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summary: The Supreme State Security Prosecution investigating 29 citizens on charges of terrorism and spreading false news.
