1. Security forces at in Alexandria arrested citizen Abdullah Muhammad, the spokesperson for the people of Tousson, from his workplace at Bavaria Company and detained him for 15 days pending investigations.

Zagazig Total Prosecution in Sharqia investigated 16 citizens after arresting them from their homes, putting them through various durations of enforced disappearance, and accusing them of joining a terrorist group and spreading false news and statements then placing them in pretrial detention. • Court of Terrorism Criminal Appeals in Menoufia overturned the acquittal sentence of the Secretary of the Freedom and Justice Party in Menoufia and 3 other members of the group, sentencing them to 10 years in prison in Case No. 2411 of 2024, on charges of joining a terrorist group.

Legal Comment

The Security forces have arrested activist Abdullah Mohammed, the spokesperson for the residents of Tousson and he was forcibly disappeared for 2 days, then ordered his detention for 15 days.

This is nothing more than a retaliatory measure to intimidate the remaining residents, to force them to leave their homes, in a continuation of the recurring pattern of violations related to the exploitation of areas where the state seeks financial gain, without regard for the rights of their residents and owners.
