The decision of the Supreme State Security Prosecution to release the citizen/ Nagwa Khashaba, a member of the Karama Party, came after one day of interrogation with her and the issuance of a decision to imprison her for 15 days in Case No. 744 of 2023 in conjunction with the first session of the National Dialogue, although it was a positive decision, given that the origin is always freedom, however, confirms something and a negative indicator, which is that the first and last control over citizens’ destinies and freedoms is “personal mood and whims” by individuals who have nothing to do with the judiciary, not the law and evidence.

The Third Circuit Court of Terror acquitted Eng. Mamdouh Hamza on the grounds of his accusation of spreading news and incitement against the state, on the grounds of publishing a post on the social networking site “Twitter” in 2017 addressed to the people of Warraq Island, demanding their adherence to their lands, to bring down the curtain on a series of violations and harassment that he was subjected to. For a number of years, it began with submitting a number of communications against him, then referring him to the Emergency State Security Criminal Court, and a ruling was issued in October 2020, imprisoning him for 6 months, including him on lists of terrorist entities, and including him on waiting lists, before he submitted a grievance to the military governor for not approving the verdict and retrying him again.

In conjunction with the first session of the National Dialogue, the citizens were surprised by the fact that the Automatic Pricing Committee for Petroleum Products in the Ministry of Petroleum applied a new increase in the price of a liter of diesel and raised it by one pound per liter, which resulted in an increase in the prices of services and extended to an expected rise in the prices of commodities, which will constitute an additional burden on the shoulders of citizens.

Arbitrary and unfair rulings continued to be issued in trials that lack the simplest rules and principles of a fair and equitable trial, foremost of which is the principle of public trials, which allows the people to monitor the rulings issued in his name by referring the papers of four defendants to the Mufti of the Republic to take a legal opinion on their execution in the case known in the media as the case of the Sudan State Terrorist Cell.
