2. Mohamed Sabri, Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme State Security prosecution renewed the detention of director Omar Salah Marei for 15 days in Case No. 3383 of 2026, State Security, on charges of joining a terrorist group and disseminating false news and statements.

During the renewal hearing, the director stated that he felt he was being treated at the medical complex as a prisoner, not as a patient in need of specialized medical care. He added that his medical needs and requests were being handled as routine procedures, not as a response to a health condition requiring urgent follow-up, completion of examinations, and prescribed treatment.
